Mr.
The petition of Mr. LEE Chi-ming has been given consideration. It appears that Mr. Lee is requesting the assistance of the United Kingdom Government in order to obtain a Royal Pardon. Lee claims that he is a British subject
subject born in Hong Kong and is accordingly entitled to such assistance.
In order to assist you in deciding the best way to approach Mr. Lee's request, I have requested the Director of Immigration to ascertain Mr. Lee's immigration status and the type of document upon which he was travelling. I have also requested the Commissioner of Police to provide any information that they may have about Mr. Lee.
When the above information is to I shall write to you further.
