evidence committed Osman to custody to await his return to Hong Kong on 42 of the 43 charges, the subject of the last warrant.

8. It is not yet clear how the decision of the Hong Kong Court of

Appeal will affect the proceedings.

The courts here will now need

to consider the matter further. The Hong Kong Government do not believe there will be any effect on the extradition, since they maintain that the extradition is not proceeding on the quashed warrant. Osman's lawyers by contrast take the view that the whole

case will have to be started afresh.
