The licensee should maintain sufficient
spare parts in Hong Kong to ensure that any interruption of transmission due to
equipment fault will be minimised as far
as reasonably possible.
The licensee should maintain and provide such test equipment as may be required by the Telecommunications Authority for the purpose of determining compliance with the requirements
in this Schedule
This is to ensure continuity of service.
This is in line with
requirement in TV
licence.

The format of radio data and/or other broadcast-related supplementary
information within the broadcast channel
should require the prior approval of the Telecommunications Authority.
Information not related to the
broadcasting service may not be carried except with the prior approval of Telecommunications Authority and the subsequent grant of a separate telecommunication licence by the Telecommunications Authority.
For the purpose of this paragraph, broadcasting service means a
radiocommunication service in which the
transmissions are intended for direct
reception by the general public.
This is a new requirement to regulate the transmission of
supplementary broadcast information (e.g. radio data) and non-broadcast-
related information (e.g. paging signal)
within the broadcast
channel.
