An Ordinance to amend the Hong Kong Industrial Estates Corporation Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
Short title and commencement
1. (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Hong Kong Industrial Estates Corporation (Amendment) Ordinance 1989.
(2) This Ordinance shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.
Board of the Corporation

Section 7(1)(c) of the Hong Kong Industrial Estates Corporation Ordinance (Cap. 209) is amended by repealing "7" and substituting “9”.
Seal of the Corporation
3. Section 10(b) is amended by repealing "signatures of any 2 members" and substituting "signature of a member".
Delegation
4. Section 14 is amended by adding after subsection (3)—

"(4) For avoidance of doubt it is declared that nothing in subsection (1) or (3) shall be construed as prohibiting the delegation to the Chief Executive by the Corporation of the power to approve any building plans submitted for approval in pursuance of a condition imposed under section 5(2)(c) or (d) or the exercise of such power by the Chief Executive.".
