These are just some of the issues that will be in
the forefront of our mind over the coming months as we
assess the full significance of recent events for the
future of Hong Kong. I hope that I have at least
conveyed something of my own personal determination to
make the Joint Declaration work and to build on the
foundations of what has already been achieved. I remain
confident that this objective can be acheived.
