THE COMMONWEALTH YEARBOOK 1990
1. I enclose two copies of the Hong Kong
chapter as it appears in the 1989 edition of the Commonwealth Yearbook and I should be grateful for your assistance in bringing the material up to date, returning one copy only to me, amended as appropriate, retaining the other copy for your records, if you wish.
2. The proofs will, of course, be sent to Hong Kong Department for any necessary amendments to be inserted before final printing.

It is important that your revised material reaches me
as soon as possible, and in any case not later than 9 August 1989 to meet the printer's schedule.
4. I should be grateful if you would make any amendments clearly in typescript and re-type heavily amended pages.
5. Coloured illustrations form an essential part of the Yearbook and contribute greatly to better appearance and sales of the publication. It has become increasingly difficult to obtain the 20-30 coloured photographs as almost all sources charge fees which are beyond the limited
