Questions
In addition to any general comments you may wish to offer, I should be grateful for your views on the following questions in particular:-
(a) On the assumption that the law in Hong Kong in relation to gifts and the creation of trusts is substantially similar to that in England, would you agree that Sir S K Tang's donation is held in trust in Hong Kong at present for the purposes mentioned in the telegram at Flag M? Would you agree that these purposes would be regarded as "charitable" in English
(Paragraph 9 of my minute).

(b) Would you agree that the trustee of that trust is the person in whose name the deposit account now stands? (paragraph 9).
(c) Would you advise us to seek an opinion from a lawyer in Hong Kong on these points before we go any further?
