for charitable purposes generally.
(B) Just prior to Sir S---- K---- Tang's death he agreed to
the British Government's suggestion that some of the money
should be used to benefit the people of Hong Kong and 1/3 of
the interest earned should be used for medical research and
2/3 should be used for educational purposes and he would
prefer the capital to remain untouched.
(C) In pursuance of the said objects the sum of Six hundred
and sixty six thousand, six hundred and sixty seven pounds
(£666,667) together with accumulated interest of
has been paid or is about to be paid to the Trustee on behalf
of the British Government to be held upon the trusts and with
and subject to the powers and provisions hereinfter declared
