I wrote in September acknowledging your letter of the 15th of that month and it has just been returned to me by the Private Letter Section, FCO, regretting that you could not be traced!
In your absence on leave, I spoke to your colleague who was most helpful in giving me a fuller address to which I could write.
As I commented previously, the news which you gave me on the telephone during our conversation on the 14th September was very reassuring and it was most helpful to have your confirmation in a letter for my file. I shall await further developments with much interest.
I return my earlier letters from your file which were included, in error, with your letter.
