Commonwealth war graves and memorials in Hong Kong
thank you or your letter of 5 July 1989. In response to your request I am enclosing with this letter a rather more detailed analysis of our commitment in Hong Kong, which I hope you will find useful. I confirm that there are Crosses of Sacrifice at sai Wan War Cemetery and Stanley Military Cemetery and a Stone of Remembrance at Sai Wan War Cemetery.
2. I note with interest that the rco has now reached a „ïoâu measure of agreement with the dong Kong Government. I must stress, however, that this Commission needs co have sight of the proposals at the earliest opportunity, both in order to consider them and to discuss them with our member governments. In respect of this I shall copy cur correspondence to Christopher Denne at the FCO, with whom we have recently touched on this matter.
