BOILERS AND PRESSURE RECEIVERS (AMENDMENT)
Special requirements with respect to pressure vessels
46. (1) Regulation 6(1) is amended-
(a) by repealing "pressure vessel" and substituting "pressurized fuel
container";
(b) in sub-paragraph (c), by repealing "75 pounds per square inch (or the SI equivalent namely 517.107 kilopascals)" and substituting "500 kilopascals";
(c) in sub-paragraph (c), by repealing "2 feet (or the SI equivalent namely
0.6096 metre)" and substituting "600 millimetres".
(2) Regulation 6(2) is amended—
(a) by repealing "pressure vessels" and substituting "pressurized fuel
containers":
(b) by repealing "vessels" and substituting "containers".
Steam pipes and water pipes to be protected
against weather, etc.
47. Regulation 12 is amended by adding "oil," after "conveys".
Steam pipes to be lagged
48. Regulation 13 is amended by adding "oil or” after “conveys”.
Requirements with respect to pipes used
for conveying fuel to burners
49. Regulation 14 is amended-
(a) in paragraph (1), by repealing "the appropriate British Standard Specification" and substituting "a recognized engineering standard or code";
(b) in paragraph (3), by repealing "250° Fahrenheit (or the SI equivalent
namely 121.111° Celsius)” and substituting "120° Celsius”.
Flash point of fuels, etc.
50. Regulation 15 is amended by repealing "150° Fahrenheit (or the SI equivalent namely 65.6° Celsius)" and substituting "65° Celsius".
Substitution of "Authority" for "Principal Surveyor"
51. Regulations 3(1)(a)(iv), 8(1), 12, 13, 16, 17(2) and 18(2) are amended by repealing "Principal Surveyor" and substituting "Authority".
