This Ordinance amends the Road Traffic Ordinance
to apply most of the provisions of -
(i) the Road Traffic Ordinance; and
(ii) the regulations made under the Road Traffic Ordinance (except the Road Traffic (Parking) Regulations),
to private roads as they presently apply to public roads; and
to provide that regulations may be made by the Governor in Council to enable owners of private roads to control parking on such roads.
Various consequential amendments are made by the Ordinance, in particular to provide that the provisions of other Ordinances which relate to road traffic shall apply to private roads as they apply to public roads.
3. Before the Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
