he first Progress Report published in June 1988 reported on the Joint Venture Company, choice of equipment, and site selection for the Guangdong Nuclear Power Station. It also explained that civil and marine works were well under way.
Throughout 1988, and up to the present time, substantial progress has been made in project design, manufacture of equipment and civil works at the site.
Civil works have entered their peak period and plant erection has begun which will be the focus of work. The first batch of core staff has gone to France for training.
Work on the Guangdong Nuclear Power Station progresses according to schedule.
