CALLS on Parties to take the
following measures to
restrict and regulate the trade in existing stock of ivory
(a)
a Management Authority will maintain a register

of ivory traders and carvers in its territory to
whom import, export or re-export permits are
issued;
a Management Authority will maintain a register
of raw and worked ivory held within its
territory for commercial purposes;
all stocks of ivory for commercial purposes will
be kept in premises approved by a Management
Authority;
raw ivory tusks and cut pieces will be marked in
accordance with the requirements as set out in
CITES Conf. 3.12; and
a Management Authority will require the ivory
traders or manufacturers in its territory to
keep a record of manufacturing and sales which
is available
