Thank you for your three letters of 30 June with which you
enclosed copies of letters from Mr Hans K H AU, Nathan Ivory
Factory Ltd, Mr Pat Au, Manhing Ivory Factory (HK) Ltd and Mr
Ming-chi AU, HK and Kowloon Ivory Manufacturers Association Ltd,
all of Hong Kong, These gentleman wrote to the Prime Minister
about the effects on the Hong Kong ivory trade of the
introduced ban on imports of ivory into the European Community.
