FIDUCIARY NOTE ISSUES
With reference to your letter dated 22 March 1976, approval is hereby given for the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, the Mercantile Bank and the Chartered Bank to deposit securities issued or guaranteed by the Hong Kong Government in respect of their fiduciary issues as an alternative to British Government stocks.
This letter may also be taken as authority to appoint the Accountant-General of Hong Kong as a Trustee under Section 11(2) of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Ordinance.
