(b) without prejudice to any duties imposed or powers conferred

on any other person in regard to the enforcement of the law

relating to securities, commodities and futures contracts,

to be responsible for ensuring that the provisions of the

relevant Ordinances, and the provisions of any other

Ordinance so far as they relate to securities, commodities

and futures contracts, are complied with;

(c)

to report to the Financial Secretary the occurrence of any

dealing in relation to securities which it believes or

suspects to be an insider dealing within the meaning of

section 141B of the Securities Ordinance (Cap. 333);

(a)

to be responsible for supervising the activities of the

Exchange Companies, the Unified Exchange, the Commodity

Exchange and clearing houses;

(e)

to take all reasonable steps to safeguard the interests of

persons who invest or propose to invest in securities or

trade in commodity futures contracts or enter into investment

arrangements in relation to property other than securities;

(E) to promote and encourage proper conduct amongst members of

the Unified Exchange, of the Commodity Exchange and of

clearing houses;

(g)

to suppress illegal, dishonourable and improper practices

in relation to dealing in securities, trading in commodity
