targeting the funding of specific objectives.
b.
Review military assistance in Southern Africa.
C. Assess the effects of our efforts to enhance defence
relations in the Far East, in particular in view of the
waning of the Hong Kong focus.
d. Report on the MOD contribution in Disaster Relief

campaign OOA.
CONCLUSIONS
87.
This year's Review is more comprehensive than last year's.
Because we are one year further from the 1988 set of Regional Reviews of 00A Strategy (CDS 25/88, 26/88, 27/88, 29/88, 32/88 and 33/88), more emphasis has been given in this Review to the summaries and views of our posts around the world; developments in the regions during 1989 are fully reported here.
88. Focussing its attention on the objectives laid out by the COS in the 1988 Review, the 00ACG can report that good progress has been achieved during the year. The one matter that
continues to defy an early and satisfactory solution
the alignment with COS priorities of MOD-sponsored subsidies for
-
improving
