ANNEX G TO JTP 1

GENERAL
1.
The Communication Annex to each Part 2 plan makes specific recommendations for circuits needed for a particular SAE operation. This Annex gives general details of the requirement for communication circuits, and covers:

General principles for the provision of SAE communications.
UK Service communication facilities available and those to be
provided.
C.
Communication Coordinating Instructions, including a Schedule of Circuits, which are applicable to the communication plans for both SAE and SPE operations.

Summary of communication detachments which may be required.
A Staff Table of Army and RAF communication detachments and equipment available for deployment on SAE and SPE operations.
2. Details of diplomatic and civil communication services available will be included in individual Part 2 plans.
3. The scale of communications required in any particular operation will vary according to:
a. The scale and availability of diplomatic, civil and UK Service communications in the area of evacuation operations.
b. The complexity of the operation, the command, control and liaison arrangements and the number of evacuation ports/airfields to be used.
C.
The expected duration of the operation.
Evacuation aircraft routeing and the availability of RAF and/or international civil air traffic control (ATC) and management communication systems.
