APPENDIX 2 TO ANNEX E TO JTP 1 (9TH REVISE)
REINFORCEMENT OF RAF ASCENSION ISLAND
1. A number of plans use RAF Ascension as a staging or reception airfield for the RAF ATF. To sustain prolonged operations, selective reinforcement will be necessary according to the increased task. Details of the RAF "Package" (PACKAGE GOLF) are shown at Enclosure 1.
2. Commander British Forces Ascension Island (CBFASI) is to inform MOD, at the time an operation is mounted, of the requirement for selected individual reinforcements by reference to the Package and Serial numbers.
3. For planning guidance, the facilities currently available on Ascension Island are listed at Enclosure 2, and a map plan is at Enclosure 3.
Ground airmen reinforcements are provided by MOD RAFPMC from ERS draft 7030G (except where otherwise shown in column (f) of Enclosure 1).
