OUTLINE PLAN
47. In a deteriorating situation HM Ambassador/BHC of the country concerned will warn FCO if he considers that Services Assisted Evacuation may become necessary, giving a full assessment of the situation. Any such message or, in the worst case, any request for immediate assistance without prior warning, will be considered by the FCO in consultation with MOD and political clearance will be obtained for action to be taken. If No Part 2 plan exists for the country. concerned, MOD will initiate immediate or 'hot' planning in conjunction with the UKCICC staff at Wilton. Guidance notes for immediate planning are contained in Annex H.
48. Spare.
INTELLIGENCE
Responsibilities. Responsibilities for the provision of intelligence for Part 2 plans and intelligence support for SPE operations are as follows:

(1) Identify, in conjunction with the FCO, possible operational commitments.
(2) Task intelligence collection; liaise with JIC to adjust collection priorities.
(3) Consider deployment of MILO.
(4) Disseminate available intelligence to JIC and JHQ.
