COMPENDIUM OF UKCICC (OVERSEAS) SERVICES ASSISTED EVACUATION PLANS PART 1

COMPOSITION OF COMPENDIUM
AUTHORITY
1.
The Compendium of the United Kingdom Commanders-in-Chief Committee (Overseas) (UKCICC(0)) Services Assisted Evacuation (SAE) Plans is issued under sisted Evacuationen agreed by the Foreign and the authority of the Chiefs of Staff Commonwealth Office (FCO).
PURPOSE

The Compendium is designed to provide sufficient information to enable:
a. HM Representative in the country concerned to request and direct a Services Assisted Evacuation.
b. The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) to decide on the best method of implementing an operation.
C.
The operational headquarters and staffs concerned to implement the plan quickly in the light of conditions prevailing at the time.
CONTENTS
3. The Compendium consists of 2 parts:
a.
Part 1. Part 1 (Joint Theatre Plan (JTP) No 1) outlines the arrangements for SAE which are common to all SAE plans. It also contains general information which will be of value to diplomatic posts overseas and to military mounting authorities.
b. Part 2. Part 2 consists of a series of JTPs covering SAE from specific countries or, in some cases, from 2 or more countries simultaneously. A list of current Part 2 plans is at Annex A.
DISTRIBUTION
4. All British civil and military authorities which could become involved with SAE operations are issued with copies of Part 1. The distribution of each plan in Part 2 is confined to those authorities concerned with that plan.
