You may make requests for reinforcements in addition to those, but there can be no guarantee that they will be made available. Your plans must therefore be based on the scale of reinforcements specified in the approved contingency plan.

You are to maintain the capability to meet requirements of the JTPS involving your forces which may be issued from time to time and to inform me if for any reasons you are unable to do so.
