Article 17
Languages of the Treaty: Signature
(1) [Original Texts; Official Texts] (a) This Treaty shall be
established in a single original in the English, Arabic, Chinese, French,
Russian and Spanish languages, all texts being equally authentic.
(b) Official texts shall be established by the Director General, after
consultation with the interested Governments, in such other languages as the
Assembly may designate.
(2) [Time Limit for Signature]
The original of this Treaty shall remain
open for signature at Washington until December 31, 1989.
