(e) The SAR Government should be allowed to continue
to communicate directly with INMARSAT in the same
ways as the Hong Kong Government.
(f) Any such entity should be allowed to continue to
communicate directly with INMARSAT in all
matters, connected with the SAR's use of the
INMARSAT space segment, other than those matters
which are the reserved responsibility of the
Party or Signatory under the Convention and the
Operating Agreement.
(g) The Hong Kong SAR
telecommunications authority
should continue to act as a routing organization
for the purposes of submitting applications to
the Organization in respect of Hong Kong
registered ships, in accordance with Articles XIV
and XV of the Operating Agreement and previous
practice. If in future a similar procedure were
adopted by the Organization for the application
of approval of aircraft and land mobile earth
stations, the authority should similarly act as a
routing organization in respect of such
applications of the SAR.
