I have the honour to refer to the recent contribution from Her Majesty's Government of £500,000 (equivalent to US$ 877,193 at the official United Nations exchange rate of 0.57 per 1 US$) which has been earmarked for assistance programmes for Vietnamese in Hong Kong and Somali refugees in Ethiopia (£ 250,000 each).
In enclosing official receipt No. 8177, I wish, on behalf of the High Commissioner, to express our deep appreciation to Her Majesty's Government for its continued support to the refugee cause.
