in the CPA. is

the introduction of procedures for determining

the status of all newly arriving Indo-Chinese

asylum-seekers in South East Asian countries,

Thus, under the provisions of the CPA only those

asylum-seekers recognized a8 refugees will qualify for resettlement.

Nevertheless, there remain between 50,000 and

60,000 Vietnamese refugees for whom resettlement

18 to be guaranteed under the CPA ав their

arrival in camps

before announced cut-off-dates

qualified them for primae facie recognition.

Undertakings by resettlement countries

During the session of the Co-ordinating Committee
