IDEAS ON HONG KONG POLICY

1. Mr Maude asked for a list of the various ideas on HMG's Hong Kong policy suggested by MPs, Journalists and members of the public since 3/4 June. I attach a list which also incorporates specific suggestions for confidence building measures reflected in briefing
to date.
2. A separate submission on an Autumn package of confidence building measures, requested by the Secretary of State is in preparation and will be submitted shortly.
