LORD GLENARTHUR'S DRINKS WITH MPS: 17 JANUARY 1989
1. I submit background material for Lord Glenarthur's briefing of
MPs tomorrow evening. It covers Vietnamese boat people,
Nationality, Emmigration, The Public Order Ordinance and the Anglo
Hong Kong Trust.
2. The situation on the Basic Law is very fluid. I plan to submit
tomorrow morning a brief background note summarising the outcome of
last week's BLDC meeting.
