EMBASSY'S EFFORTS TO HELP HONG KONG PEOPLE IN PEKING
Ambassador in Peking and his staff worked extremely hard to ensure
safety of British citizens and Hong Kong residents. They maintained
very close contact with Hong Kong Government.
Has been no discrimination against Hong Kong people.
In cases where there were particular grounds for concern Embassy made urgent representations to Chinese authorities.
