COMMUNICATIONS

Telegrams

The Communications Centre at Government House will operate throughout the visit of the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.

(ii) Telegrams should generally be addressed "Following for Secretary of State's Party" in which case they will be distributed to all senior members of the party. Telegrams should only be addressed "Following for Private Secretary" if it is intended that the telegram should be given further distribution only on his authority. Telegrams so addressed should be distributed initially to the Private Secretaries and the Personal Assistant. Telegrams addressed to individuals in the party should not be given any distribution within the party without the prior consent of the person to whom it is addressed.

Telephones

The Government House switchboard will operate on a 24-hour basis during the Secretary of State's visit.

(ii) There will be international direct dial facilities in the Private Office and the Private Secretary's bedroom.
