OMELCO VISIT TO LONDON: WEEK BEGINNING 20 NOVEMBER
1. The Hong Kong Government Office telephoned me this morning to let me know of plans for a visit to London by an OMELCO delegation led by Mr Allen Lee. Other members of the delegation would be: Andrew Wong, Ronald Arculli, Jimmie McGregor, Ho Yin-Fat, Martin Barrow and John Swaine.

The delegation would be requesting calls on the prime Minister, the Foreign Secretary and the Home Secretary. purpose of the visit would be to lobby on: Right of Abode, Constitutional Development, Vietnamese Boat people.
3. I took note without substantive comment. We will no doubt be hearing very shortly from the Governor about the proposed visit, which could well affect his own plans to come here at that time.
