HMG welcomes this initiative to promote two way trade and investment between UK and Hong Kong.
British investment in Hong Kong has been steadily increasing
in the past decade: we want this trend to continue.

Contacts between Britain and Hong Kong in the business cultural fields are already extensive: but we are keen to see such
contacts continue to expand.
Anglo Hong Kong Trust is of course a private venture.
But as
a mark of HMG's approval of its aims, I will be co-hosting with the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry an inaugural dinner for the Trust at Lancaster House in March.
