5. The letter from the Hong Kong Students' Union was written before
Mr Lee's release and safe return to Hong Kong and has been overtaken
by events. But,
we can reassure the Student's Union that the
Embassy in Peking and the Consulate-General in Shanghai will
continue to do all they can to assist over similar cases. There are
currently two which have come to our notice: that of Mr Yao
Yongzhan, and that of Mr Guo Wenxuan. Mr Guo has since been
released, but Mr Yao remains in detention.
