1. This morning, Robert Archer of "Hong Kong Link" called me to say that a delegation from the "Hong Kong People Saving Hong Kong" Group would be visiting London between 10-14 July and would like to call upon senior officials of the FCO and Home Office.
2. The details of the delegation had not been finalised, but it was expected to include Ronald Chow, LegCo member;
of the
Hong Kong Affairs Society; Lau Chin-shek of the Christian Industrial Council;
of "Meeting Point", Revs. Lo Lun-kwang and Kwok Nai-shek; Lo Ping; Ho Mun-ka and Philemon Choi.
3.
They hoped to lobby for the right of abode in the UK for British nationals in Hong Kong. They would also wish to discuss proposals for direct elections, and details of a proposed Bill of Rights.
4. They wish to call on 10 July, or on 12-14 July. They have also been in contact with Jeremy Page of the Home Office. They would prefer a joint meeting, to talk with FCO and Home Office officials at the same time.
