Mr Campbell pointed out that FID had concluded that there were good reasons to extend the territorial waters

Wallace expressed his conviction that it was not necessary to put up a case for the extension of the territorial waters around the DTs. If the territorial waters around the UK could be extended to twelve miles, then why not those around St Helena?
Item 9 Aid Matters
24. Mr January referred to the Prime Minister's written answer on 16 February in which she had announced the extension of the UK's reciprocal health agreements with five Ds (Anguilla, Montserrat, BVI, TCI, St Helena) to include a limited number of referrals to the UK for free NHS treatment. At a recent meeting between WIAD and Department of Health officials, it had been decided that each territory would be allocated a quota of four referrals for the first year. However, we expected in practice to be able to build
The scheme, we some flexibility into this allocation. hoped, would come into operation on 1 April. Department of Health officials were currently drawing up detailed proposals concerning the mechanics of referral including the crucial problem of local diagnosis.

26. Mr January said that the next DTLG meeting would be held in late May or early June. Departments would be given at least three weeks notice of the proposed date.
