Expected Respects Towards the Declaration

The respondents
Declaration more
than
expect that the Portuguese government will respect the Sino-Portuguese Joint the Chinese government. In particular, Portuguese (86%) and Macanese (83%) compared to the Chinese (58%) believe that the Portuguese government will respect the
Declaration.
On
the contrary, about one-quarter of the respondents feel that the Chinese government is not going to respect the Declaration. The June 4 Incidence may have possibly caused the lack of
trust towards the Chinese
government.
