CONSULTATIVE COUNCIL IN A STATE OF GREAT ACTIVITY
The Consultative Council of the Drafting Committee of the Basic Law for Macau is getting ready for a meeting soon in this Territory with drafters of the Basic Law of Hong Kong. Next month in September will be particularly active with meetings and gatherings of the Consultative Council of Macau with all those participating in the process of drafting the Basic
Law of the Territory.
The Consultative Council consists
of 90 persons and its function is to assist the 48 members of the Drafting Committee of the Basic Law which will rule over the Special Administrative Region of Macau after 1999, as that law has to be promulgated in early 1993 by the National Assembly of the People's. Republic of China.
