The HK Entry Permit
will
For visit of more than 7 days, the applicants receive a sponsorship form from the handling airline. They will have to mail the sponsorship forms to their nominated sponsors in Hong Kong. Upon receipt, the sponsors will complete the forms and send to this Department to fulfil the formality of sponsorship. On the other hand, the visa applications will be sent separately to us by the Airlines concerned. The process of Entry Permits will begin immediately after matching of both forms. Nevertheless, for short visit of 7 days or less, the applicant only needs to supply the particulars of his sponsor in Hong Kong on the application form and the sponsor is not required to complete
to complete a sponsorship form. Thus the normal time taken for issuing a visit permit for 7 days is 2 weeks and for 8 days or more is 3 weeks.
Double Journey Visit Permit Scheme
The DJVP allows a Taiwanese to visit Hong Kong twice, one from Taiwan and the other from a third territory. The procedures and processing time are same as those for single journey permits but the maximum duration of stay on each landing is 14 days.
Multiple Journey Visit Visa
We also have been aware of the increasing need for urgent and frequent visits to Hong Kong by Taiwan businessmen. Since early this year, we have liberalised our policy on multiple visit visas SO that all Taiwanese businessmen who have good business reasons to come to Hong Kong are eligible. Unlike the standard three months validity for other types of Entry Permit, the MJV is valid for 6 months, good for any number of journeys to Hong Kong
to Hong Kong and the
the stay on each landing ranges
ranges from 7 to 14 days. The process time for issuing a MJV has also been shortened to about 4 weeks.
You will note from the above that we have all along dealt with Taiwanese much more liberally those from other non-recognised administrations. Please let me know if you require further information.
