Council immediately before the dissolution shall summon all the persons holding office as members of the Legislative Council immediately before such dissolution, and the President and such other persons shall continue to sit in such capacities on the Legislative Council during the meeting until the commencement of the day (or, if more than one, first day) appointed for the holding for such election."
