Chapter IX: Supplementary Provisions
Article 159

The first Government and the first Legislative
Council of the Hong Kong SAR shall be established
accordance with the principles of national sovereignty and
of smooth transition and in accordance with the NP C
"Resolution on the Method for the Formation of the First
Government of the Hong Kong SAR".
Article 160
At the time of the establishment of the Hong Kong
SAR, the

protected by the laws of the Hong Kong SAR, provided that
they do not contravene this Law.
