Standing Committee of the National People's Congress,
During its course of work, the Basic Law Drafting
Committee of the Hong Kong SAR has considered that it will
be necessary for some organ to examine and submit views to
the NPC or its Standing Committee on questions relating to
the Basic Law of. the Hong Kong SAR upcr its formal
imp le mentation. It is therefore recommended that, at the
same time when the Basic Law enters into force, a working
committee, for med by mainland and Hong Kong members
appointed by the Standing Committee of the NPC, be set up
under the Standing Committee.
