Article 66

The Legislative Council of the Hong Kong SAR is
the legislature of the Region.
Article 67
The Legislative Council of the Hong Kong SAR shall
be constituted by elections.
The method for forming the Legislative Council
shall be prescribed in the light of the actual situation of
the Hong Kong SAR and in accordance with the principle of gradual and orderly progress with the ultimate objective of
constituting the Council entirely by universal suffrage.
The specific method for forming the Legislative
Council is prescribed in Annex II : "Method for
Constituting the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong SAR".
Article 68
The term of office of members of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong SAR shall be four years, except the first term which shall be two years.
Article 69
If the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong SAR is dissolved by the Chief Executive in accordance with the
provisions of this Law, it shall be reconstituted by
election within three months as prescribed by Article 67 of
this Law.
