MCGREGOR: Sir, in order to establish the actual situation on the ground, as it were, could the Secretary indicate the decibel level at the worst point of noise at the airport as measured against the acceptable highest international standard. In other words, Sir, can the Secretary say by what margin we are over the recommended international standard?
SECRETARY FOR LANDS AND WORKS: No, Sir, I am not in a position to say that this afternoon but I will certainly provide the information in writing. (Annex I)

SECRETARY FOR LANDS AND WORKS: Sir, no formal measures are considered necessary, but the lessons learnt from the disturbance to Richland
Gardens development, which had been mentioned in this Council before, are well learnt and the Administration and, I am sure, the Town Planning Board will ensure that another such development does not take place in the immediately affected areas.
