Points to make
Working urgently to identify suitably prominent and prestigious site for future Consulate General A team of FCO officials visited Hong Kong in October for detailed consultations.
Need presence which will reflect importance of our continued
commitment to Hong Kong.
Will make announcement as soon as possible.
Cannot comment until a site is chosen. But as Committee knows,
the Government see no scope for using HMS Tamar site.
