CHINESE ATTITUDES?
Chinese officials (eg Vice Foreign Minister Zhou Nan and BLDC Secretary-General Li Hou) have told the Committee that any change to British nationality policy is a matter for HMG.
But they have not indicated whether they would welcome or
oppose any such change.
Have had no formal discussions with Chinese on this issue in
recent times. In present circumstances, clearly inappropriate to do
so.
