KR RENTON:

A unique situation indeed, certainly, I think Hong

Kong has always been a unique situation.

IR ROWLANDS:

If it is a unique situation do you not think there

might be a case for some unique solutions?

HGE. UZY

XR RBITON:

If I may just say, where I was only disagreeing with

you was on the terms of words of transfer of sovereignty

because there I think we could have a genuine, albeit I am

sure friendly, disagreement.

Unique certainly, Hong Kong in my judgment has

always been unique.

It is uniquely prosperous, uniquely

successful and uniquely over-crowded. All of those things

you could add.

But a unique solution, with all due respect those

are easy words. What is the unique solution that your

Committee would propose?

We will read your report with very great care and I

am delighted of having the chance of giving evidence to

you at this stage when you are in the course of

preparation of the report.
