The growth rate of Hong Kong's exports to China in 1989
is nevertheless likely to slow down, given that the growth rate of the Chinese economy may slow down markedly and Hong Kong's exports to the rest of the World may also slow down in 1989. However, a slower growth rate for Hong Kong's exports to China may be no bad thing, given that Hong Kong is
from the presently suffering
inflationary consequences
