terms which would increase the lump sum gratuity which he could expect and also give him a pension. If there was any delay in introducing the new pension scheme, he would be allowed to continue to serve until such time as he had transferred. If he co-operated, he could be assured that there would be no question of a tribunal being established. Both the CJ and the CJ Designate agreed that this would be the best way to proceed. CJ said that he would need to have the precise figures for Mr Justice Barker's pension and gratuity. The Governor said that he would confirm these and check a few other points of detail. He would then write formally to the CJ asking him to put this proposal to Mr Justice Barker in the presence of the CJ Designate.
