I would be permitted to join the new scheme when it is introduced by transferring to pensionable terms, which would cover the whole of my service since appointment in December 1979.

During the period before my resignation, I undertake to be examined by the Government Consultant Physician every month, to ensure that I am fit to serve until my resignation becomes effective on 1st January, 1989 (or later).

Because of my personal difficulties, it is accepted that at Government expense my wife and I may

take up to 45 days annual leave in 1988 and that my wife and I will be entitled, to a first class single passage back to the United Kingdom, without any deduction and full baggage allowances in addition to the annual leave referred to above.
